I would like a Kingdom Hearts TV series.

No, really, I would. I like the games, and I think that a single film wouldn’t be able to fully show the whole plot. A anime series would be really cool, and Disney XD could air it.

I wouldn’t ming CGI or normal anime animation. Either would be fine, as long as it was created. I would watch it, for sure. They might have to change some of the voice actors, but thats fine too.

Any thoughts?

Bandai licensed Turn A Gundam and Tales of the Abyss

Today, Bandai announced that they had licensed two more anime: Turn A Gundam and Tales of the Abyss. This announcement made many fans happy.

Turn A Gundam is yet another anime in the Gundam franchise. In Japan, it aired from April 1999 to April 2000 with 50 episodes. It was animted by Sunrise, who has animated pretty much every single Gundam anime. It spawned three manga series, two of them in 1999, and the third in 2004. It also made two anime films, both in 2002.

As of today, no one has licensed any of the manga or anime films. No one had licensed the anime before Bandai.

Tales of the Abyss is a fantasy anime based is based on the Namco Bandai video game for the PS2. The game came out in Japan on 2005, and in the US the next year. The anime series ran in Japan from October 2008 to March 2009 with 26 episodes. It was also animated by Sunrise. It also spawned three manga.

The game has been released in North America, but none of the manga have been licensed yet.

Green Lantern getting video game in 2011

To help promote the upcoming live-action movie coming out in 2011, Warner Interactive announced that Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters, will be released in Spring 2011.

The game will be on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, and Nintendo DS. It will follow the plot of the film. It’s being developed by Double Helix Games and Griptonite Games.

This game could be good.

ANN now streaming Hero Tales

ANN, AKA Anime News Network, is now streaming the the first 22 subbed episodes out of 26 of the anime Hero Tales, a fantasy adventure anime series.

The anime is based on the manga series by Huang Jin Zhou, and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa, famed author of Fullmetal Alchemist. The manga started in Japan on 2006 in Gangan Powered, but when the magazine folded, it moved to Monthly Shonen Gangan, where it is still running with 5 volumes. In Japan, the anime ran from October 2007 to March 2008, and was animated by Studio Flag.

 

In North America, the manga is licensed by Yen Press. The anime is licensed by FUNimation.

ANN now streaming Last Exile

ANN, AKA Anime News Network, is now streaming subbed and dubbed episodes of Last Exile. All 26 episodes subbed, first 4 dubbed. This one is a fan favorite.

Last Exile is a Adventure fantasy anime series that ran in Japan from April 2003 to September 2003. It was animated by Gonzo, who also animated Vandread, Kiddy Grade, and Afro Samurai.

 

 

In North America, it was licensed by Geneon, but after Geneon lost the rights, FUNimation got it. On TV, it aired on the G4 channel.

ANN now streaming Digimon Adventure 02 and Pumpkin Scissors

ANN, AKA Anime News Network, has added two more anime to their streaming site: Digimon Adventure 02 and Pumpkin Scissors. ANN has added al 50 subbed episodes of Digimon Adventure 02, and the first 4 dubbed episodes of Pumpkin Scissors out of 24.

Digimon Adventure is the second anime series based on the Digimon franchise. The first anime, Digimon Adventure, ran in Japan from March 1999 to March 2000 with 54 episodes. It also spawned a manga and two anime films. Digimon Adventure 02 ran in Japan from April 2000 to March 2001. It spawned a manga and two anime films. Both series are animated by Toei Animation, famous for Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon.

In North America, both series were licensed by Disney, and aired on Fox Kids, Toon Disney, and Disney XD. Recently, FUNimation re-licensed Digimon Adventure 02, and is now streaming it. The manga are licensed by Tokyopop.

Pumpkin Scissors is drama war anime series based on the manga by Ryoutarou Iwanaga. The manga started in Japan in Magazine GREAT on 2002, but when Magazine GREAT was cancled in 2006, it moved to Monthly Shonen Magazine, where it is still going with over 10 volumes. The anime ran in Japan from October 2006 to March 2007, and was animated by AIC and Gonzo.

In North America, the manga is licensed by Del Rey. The anime was licensed by ADV Films, and was re-licensed by FUNimation.
