Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, Strawberry 100%, and Cross Game now streaming on VizAnime.

Viz Media has added three new anime on their VizAnime site, a place to watch subbed anime online for free. The site is a cool place to watch Viz Media anime.

Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, known is Japan as Nuraihyon no Mago, is a new anime series based on the Shonen Jump manga by Hiroshi Shiibashi. VizAnime is simulcasting the series- the same night it airs on Japan. In fact, the anime series just started today! The anime is animated by Studio DEEN (of Fate/Stay Night and Vampire Knight fame) and the manga began serializing in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2008, and is still running with currently 10 volumes. Neither the anime or manga have been licensed in the US yet.

Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan a demon who, not wanting to be a demon, tries to do good deeds, despite his grandfather’s wishes for him to become head of his family in the future. The anime is rated TV-14.

Strawberry 100%, known in Japan as Ichigo 100%, is a romance harem anime series based on the Shonen Jump manga by Mizuki Kawashita. VizAnime is currently streaming the first out of 26 episodes. In Japan, the anime ran from April 2005 to June 2005, and also got an OVA released in late 2005. The anime is animated by Madhouse (of Death Note, Black Lagoon, Claymore, and Monster fame) and the manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2002 to 2005, and made 19 volumes, the first 12 of which have been released in the US by Viz Media.

Strawberry 100% follows the misadventures of high-schooler Junpei Manaka, a boy who is in search of a mysterious girl he met on the roof at school. All he knows about her is that she wears straberry-imprinted panties! The anime is rated TV-MA-S,D.

Cross Game is an romance/comedy baseball series based on the Shonen Sunday manga series by Mitsuru Adachi. VizAnime is currently airing the first 12 out of 50 episodes. The anime ran in Japan from April 2009 to March 2010, and is animated by SynergySP which also animated the Shonen Sunday series MÄR. The manga ran in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 2005 to 2010, and made 17 volumes. The manga was just licensed by Viz Media, and the first volume will come out later this year.

The series is about a boy and his female neighbor who encourages him to play baseball. After a tragic accident, the protagonist must become a baseball player to fullfill a friends wish. The series is rated TV-G.

 

VizAnime is also currently streaming Bleach, Buso Renkin, Death Note, Hikaru no Go, Honey and Clover, Honey and Clover 2, Inuyasha, Inuyasha: Final Act, Kekkaishi, NANA, Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, One Piece, Prince of Tennis, and Vampire Knight.
